Cape Fear Sports, organized in early 2014, here in Wilmington, NC. Founded by local entrepreneur and Maine native Tim Cramer. After 14 months of part time work in the Port City, Cramer developed a business model allowing young professionals over the age of 21, a way to stay physically active, while developing social interaction. Cape Fear Sports has been providing the Port City with nearly 10+ sports, and multiple opportunities to be social, such as happy hours, bar crawls, local meet ups, and cruises along the Cape Fear river. The business model quickly took off among locals, and boasts nearly 3000 members to date.
The company has allowed numerous individuals an outlet from the everyday hussle and bussle of the standard 9-5 business day. CFS provides an alternative option to that of the overpriced gym or crossfit memberships. CFS also opens doors to many new businesses in the booming economy that is Wilmington.
